Captivating Stories ~ Dramatic landscapes ~ English Life Through the Eyes of the Iberian horse
42 beautiful Iberians took us around England in 40 breathtaking locations. Up hills, down dales, across the Pennines, over Beachy Head, along Hadrian's Wall, luscious Lavender fields, daring cliff climbs, through forests and enchanted stone circles, they did it all. A complete visual journey around England, through the seasons, with iconic Spanish and Portuguese horses.  A beautiful collision of cultures, with the Iberian horse, set deep in the drama of iconic locations. The Royal Horse of Europe bringing Spain, Portugal and England together. Uniting us in the love of these war horses of old.  Below are a few glimpses (ALL images are in REAL locations, not digitally created).  This series received a number of honourable mentions in the 2019 International Photography Awards.

As the Creative Director of the Festival of the Iberian Horse, and the owner of a Lusitano, my world revolves around the Iberian horse, I am fiercely driven to showcase these horses that are as wild as the wind but gentle as a breeze.  For 8 months I lived out of my car travelling all the way around England, reaching 38 of 42 counties to tell their story. It was 2018, and my first year as a full time, professional photographer. Simultaneously the most beautiful and terrifying place I've ever been. But still, it felt like home - a travelling troubadour gypsy photographer telling the visual story of England through the eyes of the Iberian horse. This series is where my heart is although I LOVE photographing all horses, I dream of taking this into its next stage of development. I remain happy with it, but made a number of compromises to hit my (foolhardy) target of one horse per county, in one year.  By the end I was emotionally and physically exhausted.  I now feel ready to take it up a level.   The first edition of the book featured 80 pages of unseen images.  For details on being in the second edition, the new side by side series The Iberian Horse at the English Castle, or a private Iberian Horse commission please do contact me ASAP as the best new locations I have up my heart set on are once in a lifetime locations for the right horses.  I'm trying to secure Arts Council funding - so if you want to be part of something memorable, don't delay.   Bespoke art books are available with Spanish and Portuguese transparencies and overlays for all Iberian clients whether in the fine art collection, or for private commissions.

Here's some little videos made as I ventured around the UK, most footage is from my mobile phone plus a promo for the book itself which was self published, and sold out that Christmas. The second edition is to come!
